To rent a sailboat to participate in a regatta is an intense and very exciting experience. A regatta is a sailboat race where only sail propulsion is allowed and each boat uses its material and the knowledge of its crew to reach the finish line as soon as possible.

It is not enough to know how to navigate, it is also important to know the weather, the boat, as well as the regatta field. Each sailboat has a unique strategy and tactics, with which they will fight to reach the finish line against their rivals.

There are coastal or offshore regattas, depending on the course and distance.

As the majority of sailboats participating in a regatta are different and the fastest would always win, a real-time correction called rating is applied, obtaining a compensated time that is valid for the classification. The rating is obtained from a complex mathematical formula in which all the technical variables of the sailboat, its hull and its sails are entered. The result is a multiplication factor that aims to reward the crew that made the best decisions and not the fastest sailboat.
