Reservations

If you want to enjoy one or several wonderful days renting a sailboat with a professional skipper, with your partner, family or friends, contact us and tell us where, when and what you would like to do.

The price includes the rental of the sailboat with all its accessories, the insurance of the passengers, the specified mandatory extras and the optional extras chosen during the agreed period.

The price excludes food and drinks (including the skipper’s), buoys, moorings, boat-taxis, fuel or any other option not specified.

To formalize a reservation, you must advance the payment of 50% of the total, to the account number indicated as detailed in the “Quick budget” section. The second half of the payment can be made on the day of shipment.

Unlike many other operators, at Blue Med Charter, we work directly and without intermediaries. That means that we are owners and captains of our fleet, a fact for which we are attentive and care about even the smallest details. We know the sailboat perfectly as we personally attend and maintain it throughout the year.

We can offer you a flexible proposal, completely adapted to your plan, in terms of theme, space and time. We make things easy so you don’t have to worry about anything.

You may have a nautical license to navigate; however, we recommend that you forget your responsibilities and enjoy your free time with your loved ones. If you also want to learn and take the boat, you can do it as much as you want.

On day charter, we usually embark at 9 or 10 in the morning and disembark around 7:00 p.m. The winds and sea can influence and we recommend a certain flexibility in this aspect.

If you have another idea… let us know!

You can and should bring the food and drinks you want. The sailboat has a fridge that keeps drinks cold, but if they are at room temperature, we also recommend that you bring ice.

outings day charter, we recommend simple food, fruit, a snack or prepared meals that do not require cooking.

For sailing trips lasting a week, we recommend organizing the menus well, starting with fresh food. Keep in mind that you can stop at any port to supply us if necessary. If you prefer not to cook, contact us and we will recommend a catering service.

Evidently! It is welcome and cannot be missed in any celebration. Even so, we recommend drinking in moderation, as it poses a serious risk to the safety of the person, the sailboat and the captain.

On bord

Smoking is allowed only and exclusively outside the sailboat, prior notice to the skipper. The ash can be thrown into the sea or in an ashtray and special care will be taken with cigarette butts due to the high risk of fire they pose, which will be deposited in the garbage once turned off and moistened with water.

The sailboat will be perfectly clean and disinfected both indoors and on deck, toilets and bedding, always guaranteeing a hygienic and safe space. The client will be responsible for keeping the space clean and cleaning the kitchenware used by them during their stay.

It is one of the most worrying assumptions. Keep in mind that one of the great attractions of the Balearic Islands and the Catalan coast is precisely its good weather throughout the year. If you plan to book a sailboat in advance, chances are you are going to enjoy excellent weather conditions.

In the event of a storm, our professional skipper will contact you days in advance to propose a change in the port of embarkation, a change of date or, ultimately, cancel the departure and refund the amount if there is no alternative.

Having said this, bad weather is understood as a meteorological situation in which the skipper determines that it is not safe to go to sea. We keep in mind that it’s about having fun, so we never expose ourselves to danger. Rain and clouds do not pose any risk, therefore, the reservation will remain firm.

If for reasons unrelated to Blue Med Charter you cannot appear on the day of the reservation, without notifying 7 calendar days in advance, you will lose 100% of the rental amount.

If the cancellation notice occurs between 30 and 7 days before the departure date, it will be penalized with 50% of the total reservation.

If the cancellation notice occurs 30 days or more before the departure date, it will be penalized with 25% of the total reservation.

At Blue Med Charter we do not supply medications on board. If you think you might get seasick, do not forget to consult your doctor or pharmacist and you can bring your anti seasickness pills. Other medicines that are usually useful in outings lasting several days can be antihistamines, anti-inflammatories or analgesics.

In this case, we recommend that you talk to your doctor, and that it be the one who determines whether or not you are fit to board. In case of boarding and feel discomfort or nausea, the skipper may return to port to disembark.

Depends! Our experience determines that no one gets seasick in calm seas and approximately one in ten people get seasick when there are waves of half a meter or more. If you are prone to seasickness, after consulting your doctor or pharmacist, you can take an anti-seasickness pill half an hour before boarding. In addition, if you let us know, we will try to design a route through waters that are as sheltered as possible.

Do not worry! Inform our skipper of this at the time of boarding. You will be given special attention, as well as a vest or inflatable so that you can be as calm as the others.
